Professional Experience

For over 20 years, Asha Dhillon has represented clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and span all industries, with an emphasis in the entertainment, hospitality, and financial industries.

Ms. Dhillon’s practice focuses on employment matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, misclassification, disability accommodation, joint employer, and wage and hour issues in both single-plaintiff and class-action matters. She has significant experience with claims arising under:

  • The Fair Employment and Housing Act;

  • The California Labor Code, including the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA);

  • The Family and Medical Leave Act and the California Family Rights Act;

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act;

  • The Fair Labor Standards Act.

While Ms. Dhillon has successfully served as lead counsel both at trial and in arbitration, she understands that from a business perspective, settlement is often the more cost-effective resolution. With that in mind, she works with her clients at the outset to understand their “end goal” and develop a litigation strategy to achieve that goal.

Ms. Dhillon also offers compliance counseling, provides her clients with audits of their employment practices, and prepares employment-related agreements and policies.

In addition, Ms. Dhillon serves as outside general counsel for numerous small businesses, for whom she provides general corporate, litigation, and intellectual property legal services.

Ms. Dhillon is a native Angeleno. She is a foodie, who keeps up with the city’s newest restaurant options from Michelin rated to food trucks, including Eater L.A.’s Essential 38. She enjoys basketball and live music, especially outdoor concerts at the Bowl.
