Professional Experience

Liza Brereton has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in large and small law firms and as in-house counsel. Ms. Brereton started her legal career at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, and most recently was Assistant General Counsel at a global nonprofit public health organization.

Ms. Brereton values learning and prioritizing each client’s particular goals and priorities.  

​

Ms. Brereton’s legal practice includes employment litigation and advice and counsel,  intellectual property, business litigation, real estate litigation, class actions, housing and habitability, personal injury, and nonprofit corporation law.  Ms. Brereton also drafts and negotiates contracts, employment policies and procedures, and provides advice and counsel on a broad spectrum of legal issues. 

 

Ms. Brereton has experience conducting impartial workplace investigations in a variety of industries, and also enjoys conducting workplace harassment-prevention training and communication training for individuals and groups.

Ms. Brereton is a fan of boxing, University of Michigan football & basketball, and she enjoys concerts, scuba diving, hiking, art museums, and playing sports. Mrs. Brereton is a sustaining member of the LGBTQ+ Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
